Natural Proteins and Growth Factors for Topical Skin Rejuvenating Product
Skin rejuvenating products that contain proteins, growth factors, and amino acids are commonly known for its potent anti-aging and skin condition-improving effects. Many exogenous protein and growth factors from placenta extracts have been reported as a potential regenerative medicine to replace or repair damaged cells, tissues, and organs, in which the stimulation of dermal fibroblasts and collagen production have also been found. However, the rejuvenating effects of natural proteins and growth factors on the skin are normally applied either via mesotherapy by using transdermal hypodermic injection or topically along with cosmeceutical aesthetic procedure, resulting in a common cause of pain and the requirement of health professionals for injection.  This solution proposes the incorporation of microspicules, which take the form of micron-sized needles, into skin care product formulations that contain high concentration of natural proteins and growth factors. This can overcome the limitations of conventional approaches and more effectively deliver hydrophilic macromolecular proteins and growth factors, bypassing the layer of stratum corneum, entering into the skin, and leading to skin regeneration. Such self-administered transdermal systems can also improve patient compliance and are generally inexpensive. The technology owner is seeking collaboration opportunities with industry players to increase product innovations in market niches within the cosmeceutical product sphere.
Nano Delivery Technology That Increases Pest Management Efficiency in Food Crops
According to Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), invasive insects cost the global economy around US$ 70 billion each year. Rising temperatures, longer seasons, and changing weather patterns are creating more favourable conditions for insects to thrive in many areas, leading to increased infestations in crops. Traditional pest management methods in food crops, such as frequent spraying of insecticides and repeated inspection, are labour intensive and can have negative environmental impacts. This technology offers a promising solution to these challenges. It simultaneously reduces the particle size of insecticides and modifies their surface properties, which increases foliar uptake by several folds. Once absorbed by leaves, the insecticides are no longer prone to wash off or environmental degradation, resulting in a substantially longer residual treatment effect and a reduction in usage volumes and reapplication frequencies of the insecticides. This technology is designed as a ready-to-use adjuvant that works with commercialised insecticides. Growers can independently and safely nano encapsulate the insecticides with basic mixing equipment and a simple, one-step mixing process.
Nano Delivery Technology That Resolves Root Rot Diseases in Food Crops
Root rot diseases in food crops are devastating diseases currently without solution. Examples of such diseases are the Basal Stem Rot in oil palms, Fusarium Wilt in bananas, and Phytophthora Root Rot in citrus.  While fungicides have in vitro efficacy, most do not possess phloem mobility and therefore cannot reach the roots to effect treatment. Thus, despite widespread usage of fungicides, root rot diseases are still inadequately treated or are not treated at all. This Nano Delivery Technology imparts phloem mobility to fungicides, allowing them to reach the roots from the application site to treat and protect the crops. The technology is designed as a ready-to-use adjuvant that works with commercialised fungicides. Growers can independently and safely nano encapsulate the fungicides with basic mixing equipment and a simple, one-step mixing process. This technology is patent-pending and ready to market.

A Smart Insole for Prevention of Diabetic Foot Ulceration
High blood sugar in diabetes can gradually block blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the feet and leading to foot ulcers caused by pressure, nerve issues, and poor circulation. Traditionally, these problems are detected with the monofilament test, but it is not preventive and can miss early signs of ulceration. We offer two innovative technologies for real-time diabetic foot monitoring: 1. A high-resolution sensor pad has 2,500 pressure sensors to monitor underfoot pressure accurately in a static position. 2. A smart insole, designed for real-time monitoring, alerts users to potential ulcer risks by detecting high- pressure areas. It not only provides alerts but also offers guidance on reducing pressure.  Both these technologies can be an affordable alternative and incredibly user-friendly. By taking a proactive approach to diabetic foot care, the technology providers hope to prevent the development of foot ulcers and related complications, positively impacting the lives of millions worldwide.
Gut Microbiome Assessment for Enhancing Healthspan
Within one’s body, approximately 100 trillion microorganisms, mainly bacteria, coexist. Surprisingly, these microorganisms outnumber the number of cells in the body by a staggering 300-fold. These tiny inhabitants play a crucial role, producing both beneficial and harmful metabolites that your body cannot generate. Essentially, they function as a concealed vital organ within you. Research indicates that the majority of these microorganisms, about 95%, reside in your gut, where they exert a significant influence on approximately 70% of your immune system and are closely linked to the development of 90% of non-communicable diseases. Consequently, the gut microbiome stands as one of the most remarkable scientific discoveries of the past decade. Unlocking the secrets of one's unique gut microbiome composition holds a key to health monitoring, predicting medication effectiveness, and tailoring treatments. Notably, the gut microbiome closely correlates with dietary and lifestyle choices and can be modulated to prevent health issues rather than merely correcting them. However, the lack of comprehensive knowledge and databases in Southeast Asia represents a significant gap in this field. Bridging this gap promises to yield invaluable insights and drive future healthcare breakthroughs.

Automated Edible Insect Protein Fractionation Process
The production of insect protein powder is currently a batch process that is labor intensive and has issues with product consistency upon scale up. This technology uses automation to upscale the edible insect (House Cricket; Acheta domesticus) protein fractionation process. This will allow for the processing of 1 ton of the cricket raw material per hour and produce 3-4 tons of the protein powder per day. It is a scalable, zero-waste process that reduces overall operation costs (taking time, labor, energy into account) by roughly 30%. It is also applicable to other insect species and can be customizable to produce insect protein products according to customers’ needs. The cricket protein powder has a higher quality, consistency and safety than other insect protein products and meet international standards for global markets. It is an alternative to meat and plant-based protein and contains naturally higher nutritional values (70% protein content, complete amino acids, BCAAs, dietary fibre, and micronutrients). High value by-products are also obtained from the main process including oil and chitin that can be used in cosmetics and supplements.
