Challenge Introduction

Building on the success of DECAL @ Jurong Innovation District where 9 projects were awarded, JTC DECAL 2.0 is back with an expanded scope. Solution providers are now able to conduct testbedding across JTC’s wider portfolio of industrial estates and buildings, focusing on scalable resource optimisation and decarbonisation solutions suitable for ageing assets and diverse tenant profiles.

For this round, JTC has partnered City Developments Limited (CDL) and co-developed two of the five challenge statements, reflecting a collaborative effort to advance scalable and impactful sustainability solutions across both public and private sector contexts. The challenge aims to maximise renewable energy, improve resource efficiency by reducing energy and water consumption, and minimising waste, resulting in lower carbon emissions and better resource management. Through this innovation call, companies will have the opportunity to validate their ideas and capture new opportunities in the green economy.

For awarded projects, funding will be provided by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), and will only be applicable for test-bedding at JTC’s sites or estates.

Where solutions align with CDL’s objectives, CDL may engage solution providers directly to explore further development or test-bedding opportunities at CDL’s sites, independent of the EnterpriseSG-funded programme.
