Senior Manager, Innovation Advisory

Reporting to the Head of Innovation Advisory, you will proactively engage the business community to identify and secure interest from potential companies to participate in the Innovation Advisors Programme (IAP). You will also work with a multi-disciplinary team in IPI to address challenges faced by the companies and identify suitable Innovation Advisors to help them on their innovation journey.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Key point of contact in respective innovation project-level matters
  • Identify and analyse company business and innovation capacity
  • Work with Innovation Advisors (IA) to strategise and plan the engagement process with potential companies, and to scope out the opportunities and deliverables for each project
  • Manage and drive the progress of innovation projects to ensure milestones and deliverables are adhered to, and to resolve issues and challenges related to the project
  • Engage counterparts in ESG and other industry partners (e.g. Trade Associations) into cross-sell IAP effectively, including the use of networking sessions with respective IAs.
  • Co-account managing SMEs with ESG and other industry partners (e.g. Trade Associations)
  • Develop IAP content for social media and outreach
  • Project- and Cluster-level leadership
  • Develop collaborative relationship with key stakeholders, including companies and advisors
  • Work with business leaders (e.g. TACs) and technology partners to anticipate business challenges, trends drivers and opportunities for SMEs at the sector-level, and provide thought-leadership in coming up with new initiatives to address any technology and innovation gaps
  • Manage and motivate veterans to be effective resource in mentoring SMEs
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on IAP

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university in Business, Engineering, Science or Economics.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, with some years in leadership capacity preferred
  • Experience in technical background preferred.
  • Results-oriented, outcome-driven, ability to multi-task and trouble-shoot
  • Demonstrated experience in business consultancy and/or program management
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in M/S office (eg Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A passion for helping Singapore companies
  • Familiarity of technology trends and innovation drivers in any domain will be advantageous
