Since its inception in 2011, IPI has been working closely with its growing network of technology partners to promote technology collaboration through its open innovation platforms. In appreciation of their strong continued support and to keep partners up to date with its new initiatives and opportunities, IPI organised its seventh Tech Partners’ Networking Session at the Star Loft on 12 April 2019.
Professor Lam Khin Yong, Executive Director of IPI welcomed over 50 representatives from Singapore’s innovation and enterprise community, government agencies, trade associations and chambers, foreign embassies and industry partners at the event. He shared that IPI had developed several technology bundles with support from various innovation and enterprise offices (IEOs) on its online marketplace. These technology bundles aggregate complementary technologies in specific technology domains or applications to help raise industry’s awareness of these innovations and support IEOs in accelerating technology commercialisation.
In addition, Prof Lam announced that IPI will support the Innovation Agent Programme developed by Enterprise Singapore to help companies better capture innovation opportunities in the new fiscal year. Innovation agents will assist local enterprises and serve as mentors and connectors to market, technology and capability development opportunities. He concluded with a call for partners to participate in TechInnovation which will be held in conjunction with the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) and the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH) from 11 to 13 November 2019.
