Dr Sze Tiam-Lin, Director of IPI, was a guest speaker at the Norway-Singapore Energy Research workshop organised by the Norwegian Energy Collaboratorium (NEC) on 20 February 2017. Focusing on the topic of ‘Connecting Businesses to Research’, Dr Sze shared with the attendees IPI’s role in helping companies overcome their challenges when embarking on open innovation. In addition, he showcased various case studies to illustrate how IPI had matched businesses with technology providers to enhance their innovation capabilities.
Held at Nanyang Technological University, the three-day workshop is the NEC’s kick-off event which aims to identify and establish potential areas for research and business cooperation between research institutions and companies in the Southeast Asian and Norwegian energy markets. The NEC is a “platform for innovative collaboration” between Norwegian and Singapore companies, research institutions and universities engaged in the energy community in Southeast Asia. It is supported by Innovation Norway (IN), the Research Council of Norway (RCN) and Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N).
