IPI welcomed a delegation comprising of 24 senior representatives from Thailand’s Mahidol University and Ministry of Finance on 11 November 2016. Mahidol University, which exhibited in IPI’s TechInnovation 2016, was the lead organisation of this business mission.
The aim of the business mission was to learn more about IPI and its role in promoting technology innovations. Dr Sze Tiam-Lin, Director of IPI, gave an introduction on IPI and shared on the current innovation landscape in Singapore. He also presented some potential technology needs to set the stage for future technology partnerships with Mahidol University. The visit closed with a spirited Q&A session where representatives from Thailand were interested in understanding more about IPI’s success cases and technological trends especially in the areas of cloud computing, e-health and artificial intelligence.
IPI, together with Thailand’s Mahidol University and Ministry of Finance will continue to work closely in the future to address technology needs and explore ways to promote R&D collaborations between universities and companies.
