A partner of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Singapore, IPI presented its best practices in using open innovation platforms to catalyse the adoption of technology by SMEs at the annual EEN Conference held in Vienna, Austria on 23 October 2018. Lim Ming Khai, Deputy Director of IPI, shared how SMEs have benefitted from its various open innovation platforms and initiatives. They include the IPI Technology Marketplace, an online database of technology offers and needs from IPI’s global partners; Gov-PACT, a programme for SMEs to offer innovative solutions to address national needs, and TechInnovation, the largest open innovation and technology matching event in Southeast Asia.
The audience made up of EEN member organisations around the world, also gained insight into open innovation platforms and best practices from Italy and the Netherlands in promoting collaborations between enterprises, government, researchers and society. The session generated an interactive exchange of ideas amongst the audience.
