IPI hosted Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr Tan See Leng and SME leaders from various industries at the IPI Roundtable on 20 August 2021. Moderated by Wong Lup Wai, CEO of IPI, the roundtable centred on drawing business, technology and innovation insights through the lens of Singapore SMEs.
The participants at the roundtable comprised SME leaders from Par International, Good Pharma Dermatology, Honsen Printing Industries, Singapore Aquaculture Technologies, Nipo International, Lynxemi, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Enterprise Singapore and IPI, including one of IPI’s Innovation Advisors. The SMEs shared their thoughts on the challenges and experiences in their innovation journey, the impact COVID-19 had on their businesses as well as how they work with technology and innovation intermediaries like IPI to accelerate innovation.
Following the engaging session, Dr Tan expressed that he was pleased to learn how SMEs have dealt with the challenges posed by COVID-19 positively and tapped into different forms of innovation to find new opportunities and growth for their businesses.
