Best Practices in Managing Open Innovation for SMEs Shared at APEC and ASEAN Meetings

IPI was invited to present best practices at the 46^th APEC SME Workgroup meeting in Brunei on 27 March 2018 and the 5^th ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME) meeting in Laos on 5 April 2018.

Lim Ming Khai, Deputy Director shared IPI’s multi-prong approach to catalyse innovation and technology adoption by SMEs through Open Innovation using its online and offline platforms. These included active one-to-one engagements with enterprises and researchers, leveraging its wide international network of technology partners, online technology marketplace platform and B2B-focused international technology event TechInnovation. He also took the opportunity to invite SMEs and Science & Technology Institutions from the member economies to showcase the vibrancy of ASEAN innovation at TechInnovation. A leading technology-to-industry brokerage event in Southeast Asia which brings together international technology providers and seekers to explore collaboration opportunities, TechInnovation will be held on 18 and 19 September 2018.
