Semiconductor and Electronics Business Operations and Engineering
Chok Yean Hung has more than 30 years of management and technical experience in the semiconductor industry, and a track record of building and revitalising companies from start-up to becoming sustainable, matured, and publicly-listed companies.
He was Chief Executive Officer of AEM Holdings Ltd, a global company with operations spanning across Asia, Europe and North America. He supported and led the company's transformation from an automation company to a full-fledged application-specific, intelligent test and handling solutions for semiconductor companies. Currently he serves as board member of AEM Holdings Ltd.
Chok started his career as a Product and Test Engineer in Texas Instruments and progressed to take on management roles where he led teams of engineers from multiple countries, executing products and wafer fabs start-ups in USA, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore. He was also elected as Senior Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments.
After ten years with Texas Instruments, he successfully took two semiconductor start-ups public. He was part of the founding management team of United Test and Assembly Center (UTAC) where he headed test operations, and Ellipsiz Test/EEMS Asia which had operations in Singapore and China. Chok was awarded the Ministerial Citation for Excellence in Test Development from Singapore's National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) in 1997. He jointly holds a patent with Texas Instruments, Dallas memory designers on `A Method in Testing Semiconductor Devices'.
Chok received his Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
