Industry 4.0 is revolutionising how companies manufacture, innovate and distribute their products. However, the pace of Industry 4.0 adoption is uneven across different industries and companies. Companies both globally and locally are facing challenges with the concept of Industry 4.0, implementing it through digital transformation and capturing its value. The Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) was therefore developed to address these challenges, covering 3 core building blocks (Technology, Process, and Organization).

Using SIRI as a framework, this workshop aims to equip local enterprises with manufacturing capabilities to embrace digital transformation through industry 4.0, with practical knowledge about:

  • What Industry 4.0 is and the tangible benefits it could yield;
  • The maturity levels of their organisations and facilities; and
  • How enterprises can improve in a targeted and incremental manner through digital transformation

There will be 3 breakout sessions focusing on addressing the digital transformation challenges faced by enterprises in 3 different sectors: the food industry, healthcare industry and logistic/supply chain.
